Flanked by Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, Paolo Moretti, Claudine Nougaret and Vladimir Perišić, the Belgian actress Lubna Azabal will award the Short Film Palme d’or and the 3 La Cinef prizes, the Festival de Cannes’ selection dedicated to student films.

Screen Cornwall announce the first four recipients of its Feature-Film Development Scheme for projects in the Cornish language (Kernewek) made by local creative talent.
Managing Director Laura Giles says: “It’s fitting to announce these commissions on the day we mark the 10th anniversary of Cornish being awarded national minority status by the Council of Europe. The unprecedented selection of three LFS student films over three consecutive years marks a unique achievement in the history of film schools at the Cannes Film Festival.
