The Professional Triathletes Organisation today announce John Lunt as Operational Support Director to support the operations team for the inaugural Collins Cup race, being held at the extraordinary x-bionic® sphere in Samorin, Western Slovakia on 28-30th May.
John Lunt brings with him over three decades of triathlon experience, creating many events in the UK and some of the biggest and most prestigious triathlons in the world; including ITU World Cups, National Championships and The Commonwealth Games. The Professional Triathletes Organisation today announced that it has adopted a £1.5 Million Annual Bonus Pool which will be awarded to triathletes based on their PTO World Rankings at the end of 2020.
The bonus amounts range from $100,000 to $2,000 depending on where the athletes are ranked in the top PTO 100. (PTO World No. 1 male and female athletes, to $10,000 for the PTO World No. 20 male and female athletes. Exciting news in the world of triathlon was announced at the early start of the year.
Welsh Billionaire entrepreneur Sir Michael Moritz of Crankstart Investments in the US has stumped up $2,000,000 in prize money for The Collins Cup, a new event in association with the Professional Triathlon Organisation (PTO).
The event will take place in Samorin, Slovakia on 29-30th May at the X-Bionic Sphere.

SECURES World Championship QUALIFIER in 2020
Brighton and Hove Triathlon 2020 have secured the ITU World Championship qualifier for the 2021 World Championships in Bermuda, the only British qualifier to offer a sea swim.
Due to unprecedented demand, the 2019 event sold out early with entries reaching 1600 competitors. Next year, over 2,000 are expected making this the largest triathlon on the South Coast.

The organising team behind the successful Brighton and Hove Triathlon have launched Brighton’s newest event - Brighton Music Run.
Entries for Brighton’s very first musical 5k have now opened. Run, dance, walk to the beat at the inaugural event.

Active skincare brand, sebamed, have renewed their partnership with Brighton and Hove Triathlon for a third consecutive year. Joining the team as a sponsor in the event’s inaugural year, their partnership was upgraded to Title Sponsor for 2017 and 2018. Sebamed Brighton and Hove Triathlon saw a 20% increase in competitors for September’s race, with 40% female entrants and 43% beginners.
