I’d welcome all advice on a first bike computer (i.e. one that’s simple, not overly complex). I’m looking for something that will work well with a heart rate monitor and, perhaps eventually, a power meter in the future. Any suggestions?
I already use a Swim 2 watch for in-water, but it’s not helpful for training intensity zones on the bike.

My 5k PB around 20m. But I do not think my FTP even reaches 200w. Obviously, I have some more running than cycling but even my Garmin gives me different VO2max numbers for running vs cycling and hence I think I can get much better on the bike. What I am wondering though, is what is the best (and the quicker the better since race season is on) to transfer and balance. I am familiar with interval training and have done 6 week plus programs on Zwift/Rouvy/etc. on my trainer but i do not feel I have improved much (and my running has certainly suffered since i have dedicated most of my time to cyc ..read more

I recently completed my first triathlon in April with that being a 70.3 and was hoping to do an Ironman later this year. I used a family members 2007 steel frame road bike and wanted to upgrade to a tri bike to train on.
I have been scouring Facebook marketplace and Craigslist and came up on this 2019 Cervelo P3 which I've been able to negotiate down to the 1600-1700 mark. This is being sold through a pawn shop so I'd likely have to buy charging cables but other than that it looks like everything is stock.
This is my first time buying a bike so my question is twofold:

So I’ve been running for a while, usually doing a few 10km runs per week and completing them pretty easily. But the last 3 runs I’ve found that around my Achilles (not the tendon it self) have been cramping then causing my feet to go numb with pins and needles after about 5km. The only variable that has changed is I got new socks, which maybe are too tight around my ankle? Whilst riding and swimming I have no problems with that area, so it’s definitely run specific. Has anyone experienced this and any tips to avoid this from happening? Cheers

I am aware it will be hard to do and might not even be possible but I would love to get my tri time down by quite a lot and would appreciate any tips. Also terrified of open water so any tips for that would be appreciated. Thanks

Does anyone know if the bar opening diameter in the mono plug-in is compatible with the majority of aftermarket aerobars? Or is it a trek/bobtrager specific dimension? Not able to find anything online but did come across a couple threads saying it doesn’t work with certain bars.
Need longer poles than I currently have and looking to go with either D2Z or 51 Speedshop poles. Also open to recs.
Additionally, are there non-Trek arm cups that are compatible with the mono plug-in?

I posted in here about a week ago with a picture of my position and got this feedback: here is what I changed -lower the seat a little bit -move aero bars back -uploaded a video as requested by the community
For some context, I just got the bike to start training for my first triathlon in 4 months. Since i have no prior background in biking, I need some tips for fitting. I plan on getting a professional bike fit once I am done with school and have the time to get to it. But for now, I appreciate any expertise you guys can offer me to make the most of it.
