Following a week of broken training and recovery I was feeling apprehensive about this race. But figured that it would be good training. With fierce local competition I was looking forward to putting a good performance in, however aches, pains and the fact I was on my road bike meant I could forget about the race and concentrate on putting a solid performance in. Thanks Ribble Cycles for an awesome deal on a replacement fork on my bike! This is a great guest blog from coached athlete Jason Holmes. Rob has been coaching Jason for about a year. This story is a great example of an athlete overcoming pain,  injury and self doubt, ignoring the voice in his head that's saying "stop." Nice work, Jason.
