No local fruit sets mouths watering more than peaches! The Texas Hill Country peach season typically starts in mid-May and lasts through mid-August. Fredericksburg has many local peach vendors where you can buy the fresh fruit to make homemade peach cobbler. Almost as All-American as apple pie, the summer road trip used to be a very common occurrence that we are thrilled to say is making a comeback right now!  The brother and sister duo who co-own Comfort Candle Company were part of an epic 3-week road trip in the family station wagon in the summer of 1976. Ever wonder where that expression came from?  National Geographic, which we happen to love, says the phrase originally had nothing to do with dogs!  What?!?
