Yesterday I wanted to train but had to take my father to the hospital. I did manage to get about 30 minutes on the rebounder. Today different story but similar result. After 20 minutes on the rebounder I started some push ups. After the second set of 15 reps my lower back tightened up again. Busy, busy, busy. It's about time to get under the bar. I missed Deadlifts this last week so I must be punished. Rebounding - 20 minutes. What a ridiculously busy week end. My son arrived Saturday for a visit. My parents got here Sunday because they are moving here. Sunday we had the whole Snow side of the family over for Canada Day dinner. It's been over a decade since that last happened. Time to continue training. I decided to continue with Bench Squats for a while. Or at least until I can put some real weight on the bar. Rebounding - 30 minutes. This is dumb. Yesterday I was super busy so training got pushed back to today. However, I did manage 30 minutes of rebounding. Today was also busy but I squeezed in push ups. The dumb part is, I tweeked my lower back doing push ups. WTF! Rebounding - 30 minutes. Pull Up Negatives - 3 sets/30 reps. Push Ups - 5 sets/12,12,15,15,20 reps. Inclined Push Ups - 4 sets/10 reps. I tweeked my back on the second last set. Nothing bad, just a pain in the back. Good to stop there. I wanna have some fun tomorrow. Eleven weeks to go till Deadlifts for Dreams 6. This year I have a goal in mind. I have only pulled 600lbs in competition once. September 7th in St. Malo will be the next. Today was the first day of training. I've designed a linear progression program that looks pretty good. Driveway Tire Deadlifts - 225lbs/6 reps, 315lbs/6 reps, 390lbs/5 reps, 420lbs/3 reps, 450lbs/1 rep. No belt, not straps. Feels like a good place to start.
