We woke up at 7.30am to clear skies this beautiful morning! ?  Our view from the window in the morning We had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant at Level 2. It's a must to have the renown Hokkaido milk every single day! ? The buffet spread Mix of Western and Japanese breakfast food It was nice that they had a good selection for my foodie kids My breakfast ?  After breakfast, we packed up and checked out of Chitose Station Hotel at around 10am. We intended to rent a car as it was more convenient and we could visit inaccessible places. We m ..read more

When we're booking our tickets in Jan this year, Singapore Airlines was more expensive than ANA by $200 per ticket on average. Hence, we booked ANA (Krisflyer miles!) at $1267 per adult and $1053 per child aged 2-11 years old (inclusive of free seat selection). These were the most expensive plane tickets we had ever bought so far! ? But for Hokkaido's winter season, it was definitely worth it! ??? We could hardly sleep before our most anticipated trip of the year! Our flight was at dawn so we had to wake up by 3am and arrive at the airport by 4am! ??  No one complained of course ..read more

The brother asked whether we wanted to go for a morning swim at the pool before breakfast, and surprisingly we agreed! Not quite sure why we thought it was a good idea to swim in freezing cold water on an empty stomach! ? Infinity Swimming Pool on the 23rd floor Checking out the hustle and bustle below Great view of Mount Santubong in the distance See if you can spot the famous cat statue (Kuching means 'cat' in Malay) Smaller kids pool There's a small gym and Kids Club behind the pool chairs We were starving by the time we met for bre ..read more

The last time I travelled with both my parents and my siblings was to Shen Zhen & Hong Kong in 2007! At that time, only the Hubby (then boyfriend) was present. Family photo in 2007! Fast forward 17 years later, we were finally on our first family trip with my parents, siblings, our spouses plus 2 littlest kids! It's a pity that we couldn't find a common date during the school holiday else my older kids would've joined and it'd be full attendance! ? We met at 9am at Terminal 4 to check in at AirAsia. We booked our flights at approximately S$268 per adult/child (no checked ..read more

DAY 3  As we didn't have to wake up early the next morning, we could have a leisurely breakfast at Cafe TATU. I drink teh-C every day so when I'm travelling and there's no teh-C, I'd turn to the trusty teh tarik instead (life is a pain without both)! We had chicken rice, tea egg and fishball noodles Food I chose After breakfast, we took a Grab to Suria Sabah, located about 10 minutes away at Kota Kinabalu city. Suria Sabah Although the mall was smaller than Imago Mall, we managed to shop at Kaison and many of the clothing shops.  We returned t ..read more

On my BFF's recommendation, I'd pre-booked the Kiulu River White Water Rafting at RM135 per adult and RM125 per child (inclusive of lunch). We chose this package because the minimum age was 5 years old and suitable for the Littlest (other packages had a higher minimum age requirement). Riverbug, our tour operator, contacted me the day before via email and WhatsApp. They were very responsive and helpful! When I raised the issue of transport to the meeting point, they arranged 2-way transport from our hotel for RM250. The driver was scheduled to pick us at 8am, so we had to be at  ..read more

Our family of 5 adults, 3 teens and 4 kids love going on road trips in Malaysia together! We went to Ipoh, Genting, Port Dickson & Melaka in 2022 and Kuala Lumpur in 2023! This year, our 10D9N itinerary was as follows: Singapore >> Ipoh (Cameron Highlands day trip) >> Club Med Cherating Beach >> Desaru >> Johor Bahru >> Singapore We agreed to meet at 5.30am so that we can cross the causeway early. However, I barely slept the night before as the Littlest had woken me up at 1am and I had trouble returning to sleep after waking up. By the time I was finally ..read more

We woke up early this morning to visit the spa while the kids were still sleeping (kids below 14 years old are not allowed into the spa). The Hubby went first, then came back to look after the Littlest Girl so that my Mum and I could go. As mentioned in my previous post, we were given a key bracelet each that will give us access the female sauna and bathrooms. We headed to the locker area to undress and store our belongings in the lockers. You'd need to follow the same spa etiquette in South Korea as they do in Japan, whereby everyone must bathe before getting into the hot pools and you cann ..read more

The mum, sister and I try to organise a girls-only vacation annually as we enjoy spending time together. We've been to Ho Chi Minh (2015), Cebu (2016), Batam (2017) and Langkawi (2018) and had staycations at Crowne Plaza (2020) and Park Royal Collection Marina Bay (2021) during the pandemic. It had been 3 years since our last girls' vacation so we're really excited! We brought my 2 girls while my boy stayed home with his dad (he preferred not to be the only boy in a group of girls)! ? My girls and I met up with the mum and sister at Changi Airport Terminal 4 at 9.45am. We booked our return fli ..read more
