Hi all, looking at Panjiva, ImportYeti, etc. noticed that the data is for sea shipments. Saw somewhere that data for land shipments is not available or as detailed. I'm hoping to find a way to look at shippers / shipments through the border from the US to Mexico. Is there any place where I can find that? Thank you!

Hello everyone. I run a company in Japan and sell my goods from a 3PL warehouse in US west coast. We're starting a new project that requires us to ship a container of auto parts from Tokyo > LA every 6 weeks, regardless of how much capacity is used.
Therefore, we'll have a lot of unused space in the containers until the business grows over time. I'm looking for someone that'd like to ship in our container. We can coordinate anything you want out of Japan from our warehouse. We would only charge our costs and just share logistics costs based on container utilization.
Feel free to reach out ..read more

I'm expecting to receive a shipment of kitchen cabinets via FedEx Freight tomorrow consisting of 4 pallets, weighing a total of 941lbs. Unfortunately, my construction is wayyyyyyy behind schedule and I'm not going to be ready to receive the shipment - I don't have anywhere to store them onsite.
I have another location where I do have capacity to accept the pallets - a residential garage about 6 miles across town. Will FedEx be able to change the delivery address? If not, how can I move the pallets? I don't think they'll fit in my Civic...
Is there a company I can hire for this that won't be o ..read more

Hi! I am looking to cut costs on shipping on Alibaba, I read from multiple online sources that the best way to go about shipping and delivery would be to hire a 3rd Party Logistics company (3PL) through Alibaba.
I am a "Scaleup" level on Alibaba (but still a newbie), and I have accumulated $115 USD in logistics coupons that I would like to use for this endeavor. I am purchasing 100 to 300 customized mailer boxes from a supplier that I am yet to choose. I am discussing options on the customized boxes with many different suppliers at the moment as I'm trying to find the right pricing for my nee ..read more

My degree is in global logistics management. I have accepted an offer for a distribution center internship at a grocery store. In this role, I will be working on various supply chain projects. I'm wondering if this position aligns well with my degree. Any thoughts on its pros and cons? Are distribution center interns essentially warehouse workers? Ultimately, I aim to transition to a corporate environment. If anyone has experienced a similar situation, I would appreciate hearing about it.

Hey All,
I have established a new business in Germany with a US subsidiary.
The basic idea is to export American kitchens and US appliances to Germany to fill a gap in the market I think I’ve found.
I keep trying to reach out various freight forwarders on the east coast but specifically in Delaware to act as a receiver in the US.
The idea is I order stuff in the US and have it delivered to this Delaware freight forwarder, they packing it into a container either as FTL or LTL and then it goes to the port in New Jersey.
The problem is I send off email after email to various freight forwarders ..read more

Hi everyone :)
I've been doing a ton of research in the last few months and I've decided that this is the field I want to dedicate the rest of my working life to. I have some indirect experience as I worked with a company that provided a suite of applications to clients to make customs procedures easier. However, outside of that, I have no experience (in this field). I have a BA in French and Spanish, but that's about it. Is it better to start from scratch and go the school route? Maybe certificate programs? Are companies usually willing to hire and train on the job? I can't help but have mix ..read more
