There is so much more to human experience than meets the eye! I recall one of my favorite stories from one of our lead coaches, Tabitha Danloe. Tabitha shared with me how her dog Scooby would be too hard to walk. He is very strong and would chase critters like crazy, which pulled her all over the place. She almost gave up walking him it was so frustrating and potentially dangerous.  One day she learned that there are three primary motivations for dogs. They are either food, praise or prey motivated. It turned out that Scooby was prey motivated. He wanted to chase what he saw as prey. It ..read more

Hope you are having a lovely week! I randomly came across this article in my Instagram feed the other day. It offers a unique perspective on the clutter and unfinished projects in our lives. An incomplete project or a closet full of unsorted clothes can create piles of hidden, unpleasant feelings in our home that we have to look at and feel every day. As I read through this article, the clutter concept and correlating negative feelings really resonated with me. Thankfully the author also offers solutions for how to clear out each negative feeling from your home. I hope you give it a read an ..read more

This week we will continue to explore callings. Being called to coach and serve the excellence in others is just one calling. There are so many ways we can be called to something and I’ve found that callings are light lanterns that light the path to a pretty profound life when we follow them.  Today I’m sharing my personal reflections on callings to give you some food for thought on what is calling you and how to trust what calls. Last month we went to be close to family and my husband and I felt called to explore the surrounding forest. This is the amazing mushroom patch we found by d ..read more

Since 2005 I’ve learned so much about the profession of coaching and about the people who are called to coach. One thing that stands out the most, I learned from my mentor Sandy Hogan. Sandy shared with me, “People come to coaching when something inside of them is ready to awaken.” I have found this to be true of the coaches that are called to be a part of the solution in people’s lives and for the clients that are seeking their services. To this aim I became curious about other coach’s adventures on their coaching path. We’ve been interviewing coaches around their coaching story and will b ..read more
