Hii there! I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me. I am new to leather restoration. I recently picked up a gorgeous dark red vintage leather jacket a a flea market. I fell completely in love with it. Over the past week I have been attempting to get the musty smoke smell out of it. While cleaning the lining I noticed that towels were coming back red. Finally at my wits end (against my better judgment) I soaked it in the tub. What resulted was turning my bathroom into what looked like a horror scene. The jacket was bleeding red dye like crazy!! I tried rising it out but I'm afraid of ..read more

Hey guys, gotta cut my dogs nails but as we were going on a little trip, I noticed that while the leather from the center console wasn't punctured, it was definitely indented. Just wanted to know what is thought to be the best way to fix this. Please let me know, thank you!

I have a lot of large slugs in my vegetable patch at least 2 inches long. Would it be theoretically possible to make leather out of them?

This was a custom sectional we ordered (fortunately didn’t pay anything for it yet), and when it arrived it was nothing like the seller and I discussed. There was also a straight row of black dots on the front of the sofa that wouldn’t come off, because they used PERMANENT MARKER to mark their cut or sew lines across the entire front. I had them take it back and won’t be doing business with them again. I’m also suspect it wasn’t real leather. Thoughts?

Bought these gloves at a crazy discount from a past job. Originally planned to use them as motorcycle gloves but now I work as a high rise window cleaner and have been using them for two months. Obviously I’m right handed and the gloves have been subjected to lots of Windex (Ammonia), dawn dish soap/water. The leather on the right glove once dry is stiff as a board and no longer supple. How can I treat these to get the goatskin back to its original suppleness? I’ve never owned leather gloves before. They’ll go back to motorcycle only duty after the clean.
TLDR: Used my Goatskin leather gloves ..read more
