Hii there! I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me. I am new to leather restoration. I recently picked up a gorgeous dark red vintage leather jacket a a flea market. I fell completely in love with it. Over the past week I have been attempting to get the musty smoke smell out of it. While cleaning the lining I noticed that towels were coming back red. This was a custom sectional we ordered (fortunately didn’t pay anything for it yet), and when it arrived it was nothing like the seller and I discussed. There was also a straight row of black dots on the front of the sofa that wouldn’t come off, because they used PERMANENT MARKER to mark their cut or sew lines across the entire front. Bought these gloves at a crazy discount from a past job. Originally planned to use them as motorcycle gloves but now I work as a high rise window cleaner and have been using them for two months. Obviously I’m right handed and the gloves have been subjected to lots of Windex (Ammonia), dawn dish soap/water. The leather on the right glove once dry is stiff as a board and no longer supple.
