December 2, 2022 — Nestlé Purina PetCare Company is recalling a limited amount of Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric Low Fat prescription wet dog food due to a labeling error.
What’s Recalled?
You can identify the mislabeled product by the UPC (38100 17599), production code (22581159 L4TR6) and “Best Before Sept 2024” date on the bottom of each can.
No other Purina products are impacted by this voluntary recall.

Bravo Packing Dog Food Recall — March 2021
March 28, 2022 — Bravo Packing of Carney’s Point, N.J., has been ordered by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to stop selling, manufacturing and distributing pet food due to (among other violations) “grossly insanitary conditions“.
A Federal judge has “entered a consent decree against” Bravo Packing due to violations of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act).

February 18, 2022 — Family Dollar, Inc. is recalling various products, including multiple brands of pet food and treats.
The recall was caused by health hazards associated with rodent infestations, which may have included the potential presence of Salmonella bacteria.
Which Pet Food and Treats Are Recalled?
The FDA bulletin did not include the names of specific brands that are recalled.
When we contacted Family Dollar, the agent was not able to provide the names of the affected products.

February 16, 2022 — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is reporting three cases of infections with Salmonella bacteria linked to Dog Gone Dog Treats.
What Caused the Warning?
One open bag from a customer and several unopened bags purchased last week all tested positive for Salmonella at the Massachusetts State Public Health Laboratory.
The 3 reported cases of salmonellosis include two adults in their 70s and a child.
