Hi Everyone, It's that time of the year again! The Bead Peeps Swap and Hop. This year I was paired up with Sam Waghorn from Pale Moon Creations. Sam's work is amazing and I was very nervous when I received her package as I wanted to do her proud. Here are the awesome items I received from Sam.  So... Straight into the reveal.  It was really hard to take a photo of this Quartz necklace but it's gorgeous in real life. I wrapped the end of the crystal with wire so that I could use it on a necklace. Hey Everyone, Its time to reveal my pieces for the latest Blog Soup Party! This year my partner is Blanchy Medina from Medibeads She sent me this awesome collection of beads with a very cool blue Druzy focal.    The ideas just flowed with this soup and I created my pieces really quickly. First up is the Glade necklace. I used all the green and green toned beads along with a delicate chain to create a necklace that can be worn doubled up or as a single strand.  With the Druzy focal, I decided to do a very simple yet elegant bracelet. I love the clean lines of this look.    There ..read more

Hi Everyone, This week I'm taking part in a Crafty De-stash challenge hosted by Megan from C'mon, Get Crafty. The goal of this challenge is to use as much of your own crafty stash for a new creation. We were allowed to spend up to $10 for any extras that may be needed to complete our projects - I'm happy to say I didn't spend a cent!  I decided to create something with these large wooden discs that I've had for ages! I think I may have purchased them from eBay. To be honest I wasn't sure my idea would work. My plan was to make painted wooden pendants. What I did: 1. Paint ..read more

Hey guys, Its been a while again, I know!  Its been a crazy busy year and as the kids get older, they get busier and life kind of gets away from me. Today I wanted to share a little makeover that I did some time ago but of course never got around to blogging about. These blocks were on sale at K-mart last year - I think they were $6.  Of course I was going to paint them right? I gently pried the letters off the blocks with a sharp knife. Painted the letters white and painted the blocks turquoise in a slight ombre effect. Once all the paint was dry and after a quick sanding, I carefull ..read more

Hey Everyone, Its the Bead Peeps Swap and Hop again!    Our host is Linda from From the Bead Board. This year she is my partner too! Yay! How lucky am I? Basically, we send beads, focals and clasps, etc to our partner, the challenge being that we have to create from the items sent to us. We can use some of our own components but we don't have to use all the items as long as we use the focal and clasp sent to us.  Linda sent gorgeous treasures, some for my own stash and some to create for the blog hop. Look! Such a wonderful selection. Now I get to show you what I created ..read more

Hey everyone, Can you believe how fast this new year is racing by? Well this project is a bit late in getting written up, I made this pretty pinata for my friend's daughter a little while ago now... I found this pin of a Peony Pinata which was my inspiration.   What you will need: A balloon newspaper - torn or cut into strips flour paste or wall paper paste paint (optional) coloured tissue paper twine. Method: 1. Make up the flour paste ..read more
