Hey there you lovely bunch. I’m back with a little book review of ‘Olive’ by Emma Gannon – a Sunday Times Author, Journalist & Podcaster. Just want to put this out there that it’s my first time writing a review, so apologies if it isn’t the best or most in depth ever, but I’m finding my feet here… Oh, and before I get into it, it obviously goes without saying that the opinions are my own and I totally get if you don’t agree with them For those of you who may not have reached for this norvel yeat, the blurb reads: OLIVE is many things. Independent. Adrift. Anxious. Loyal. Kind. She knows ..read more

Why hello there folks, how are you all doing mid-lockdown? I hope you’re all doing okay and finding little things to help perk you up in this strange time. We’ve been doing a LOT of long walks around our home city of Bath each day, and I have to say- they’re so uplifting and put me in such a positive state of mind. Chatting to lots of other dog owners and people, hiking up some steep hills, enjoying the crisp Autumn sunshine and the takeaway coffees from the independents. Anyway, I thought I’d share a couple of ways that I’ve been wearing my Wool trench, as it’s so versatile for this time of y ..read more

As England preps for lockdown 2.0 tomorrow, I thought I’d give you my personal tips on some things you can do to make this time around a little easier for yourself. These are all really easy to do and mostly free.  Exercise ~ this is probably my number one thing to do for mood busting and getting those positive endorphins going. It’s incredible how different you can feel after a work out, it’s usually my main reason for exercising in the first place ~ it’s so good for mental health. All of my favourite teachers from barre, yoga and HIIT are moving their classes online to teach, but obvi ..read more

Hey folks, hope you’re all having a relaxing Sunday wherever you’re reading this from. We’ve had a lovely little potter around the city today (that’s such an old lady saying, isn’t it?!) in the sunshine and I just thought I’d swing by and share some snaps of the comfiest, snug Autumnal outfit eveeeerrr. Perfect and practical might I add, for half term madness. I think this outfit would be such an easy one to re-create as I’m sure most of you have similar items already in your wardrobe, can’t beat the basics can you?! I read somewhere recently that keeping your outfit colour palette limited to ..read more

I think we can probably all agree that the world of skincare can be a pretty daunting place, there are SO many different products and brands on the market these days- it’s so easy to feel overwhelmed. So I thought as I’ve dabbled in my fair share of concoctions over the years, I would share with you a few of my personal skincare favourites – all tried, tested and loved. Let’s start with the morning shall we… AM I start by washing my face with the Dermalogica Daily Microfilant- which is a bit of a strange product if you haven’t used it before. Hey there folks, how are we all doing? I’m not sure If it has to do with lockdown, but I’ve found myself not really knowing how to dress in anything other than leggings and a hoody, and I think I’ve pretty much forgotten what it even feels like to wear a real bra -anyone else out there?!? I think we can all agree that now, more than ever before it’s important that where we can, we support and celebrate small independent businesses. Thankfully there are plenty of ways we can do our part, and shopping small both on and offline seems to be at the forefront. Having dipped my toe in the water of an online shop a few years ago (any long-time readers may remember MaggsLondon?!), I’ve seen first hand how much work goes on behind the scenes of running an online shop, and how difficult it can be to stay afloat, all the juggling of accounts, stock, customer support, marketing the list nev ..read more
