I’m not exactly sure what age brushing your teeth becomes less of a chore cast on you by what felt like a tyrant parent, to just a simple fact of life we start accepting and stop resenting. It’s not like I enjoy it, it’s not like I hate it. I wake up, put toothpaste on the brush and get it done like a sleepy zombie as I undertake my basic tasks like checking my email or feeding the dogs. But, what if there was a third phase to our relationship with the toothbrush? Instead of shunning it or merely accepting it, we add it to our personal collection of talisman devices, like our smartphones and l ..read more

100 NIGHTS WITH ENDY
Mr. Ocean

In a world where you can order anything from your cellphone while laying in bed in your underwear, it’s about to get better. Yes you can avoid the annoying morning coffee lineup and even the grocery store these days, but you can now avoid those archaic mattress stores with corporate lighting and random bedroom setups scattered about as if laying on it for two minutes will be enough to make such an important purchase. Like most things in 2018, a remarkably more efficient solution has been created. And while most of these advances simply make the process of buying easier, Endy has made it easier ..read more

Two St. Thomas

I consider myself a lucky guy for a lot of things but being fortunate enough to get the keys to a lot of cool cars and beautiful spaces to check out is certainly one of them. I connected with some of the key players behind the new residences at Two St. Thomas in Yorkville and mentioned my interest in potentially packing up and moving to a new home this year. For a man who moved out fairly young at 16 and has packed up his life and moved at least a dozen times from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, I actually enjoy moving. From basement apartments to my first one-bedroom apartment with air condit ..read more

Good, Hard Fun with Moxie’s
Mr. Ocean

We all love a cocktail here and there and summer is the very best backdrop for it. While it’s nice sometimes to just post up on a patio, my favourite way to have a cocktail is when I’m doing something. Whether it’s shooting pool, playing catch on the beach, or sometimes even playing a dorky board game. I connected with my friends at Moxie’s last week and they invited me to one of their Hard Lemonade Pop-Up Patios they’ve rolling out all summer. I didn’t have a chance to make the ones earlier this summer but put a Saturday aside to check it out and take in the GWN Dragonboat Racing at Marilyn B ..read more

Summer Nights with Ciroc

It’s been hot on the eastern seaboard and yes, that even includes us Toronto folk up here in Canada. I STILL get asked by some Americans on vacation if Canada gets summer… I’m a summer baby through and through. Fittingly born on the summer solstice June 21st, the sun is my friend and the style is what I love. There’s such a carefree aura to summer. A freedom to wear less, meet with friends more and tiny pockets of joy in a day when you simply roll back the sunroof or get streams of light through your apartment well after 8pm. Golf is my new baby, sitting by the pool is my new side hustle but s ..read more

Disclosure: I created this post as a paid ambassador for Metamucil® but all opinions and advice are my own. Well, I did it. Let’s be honest here, undertaking personal challenges aren’t always the easiest to keep up with. Generally it’s a break in your daily habit which is really why you’re doing it in the first place. To instill a new norm. Whether you’re trying to drink more water, stretch, stop swearing, waking up earlier or increasing supplementation, it’s all about keeping your eyes on the prize. I did my research when I began and I certainly had a little background knowledge from my caree ..read more

Challenge Accepted
Mr. Ocean

I’ve been challenged, and I have accepted. I’m always on the lookout for new fitness and wellness programs for a couple of different reasons. #1, even though my lifestyle is balanced and I work my tail off to keep healthy and strong, I know there’s always room for improvement. #2, it’s imperative to refresh your routines in and out of the gym to keep both your mind and body on its heels. Staying healthy can get monotonous if you’re not being proactive with trying new things. Despite having over a decade of fitness and nutrition experience in the fitness industry, I still have much to learn. As ..read more

Sneaker Spotlight: Off-White X Nike

Off-White X Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit. It’s a mouthful but the newest sneaker from the collaborative brands is also a visual wonderland. Inspired by the Mercurial on-pitch soccer boot and perfectly scheduled to released the very day the World Cup is set to “kick off”, the newest silhouette is making waves. Virgil Abloh (Off-White founder) placed two meticulously placed dots on the sneaker to represent a player’s optimal strike zones. “That’s what the collection started with, these running shoes that mimic the same as your actual boot on the pitch, so that you started subconsciously train ..read more

Ever get that feeling where you’re so stressed out that your body is actually telling you it needs to be released? Where you’re thinking, “I gotta go hit the gym or go for a swim or shoot hoops with the guys”. It’s funny how the body can sometimes tell you when your mind is overworked and it’s downright amazing that sometimes that’s all it takes. The feeling that comes from a great workout seems to mask the struggles you were having no matter how significant they were or at least appeared to be. Now, there are two huge challenges with personal fitness for me and I’m sure for a lot of you too ..read more

Summer Tracksuitin’

#1 perk of being your own boss, golfing on weekdays. #2…tracksuits. I touched on the subject of what I like to “wear to work” in a recent post but like everybody, I have my variations. I grew a pretty strong affinity for joggers and track shorts over the last year and it’s led to an even fuller closet and now a thirst to diversify my collection. I collected your traditional tracksuit of cotton joggers with matching zip-up hoody, I expanded to the all Nike Tech Fleece suit which is one of my absolute favourites, I experimented by adding a velour suit and just recently got my hands on a new summ ..read more
