Zen means “calm and restful” – it’s the serenity and confidence you achieve when you let go of what’s holding you back so that you can create a brand new reality. My path to a Zenful Life: I am a lover of learning and knowledge. I have been interested in health and wellness from a young age. Before I became an Integrative Health Practitioner, I was (and still am) an entrepreneur, wife and mother of three teenagers.  After about 20 years in business, I decided to take my passion in wellness to the next level and I obtained multiple health and wellness certifications. These include an  ..read more

“Gratitude helps us see what is there, instead of what isn’t.” Happy Thanksgiving Week! I know this year may look and feel different than other years. You may not be sitting at a large table with extended family or friends, but hopefully you can still find a way to connect (even if it is another Zoom call). Maybe this year you will continue some old traditions and create some new traditions. My Thanksgiving will just be my family of five together. We will spend the morning moving our bodies and getting outside in nature and the rest of the afternoon cooking. My girls have been enjoying deco ..read more

“The simple things are also the most extraordinary things, and only the wise can see them.” – Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist Good morning! How is it possible that today is election day and we are into November already–our 9th month of COVID-19? I have to be honest, I never thought it would last this long. But here we are… Last week was hard for me, I’m not going to lie. I let a lot of things both big and small get me down, which is not something I normally do. There is so much anxiety, stress and trauma happening in our world right now and if I focus on it too much, I lose sight of what is right ..read more

December 2022 Update

“When you want something, all of the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.” Paulo Coelho December is a time where I like to reflect on my goals for the year. I feel grateful for each day, and proud of what I have accomplished. I like to take time to savor what I did well, and to think about why I didn’t accomplish certain things I had hoped to. Perhaps my goals changed throughout the year. One thing I did notice in 2022, is that I was very consistent with my morning routine. Although I have had one for a number of years, since the pandemic, it has been solidified as my time to myself f ..read more

As I reflect on 2020, I think about what a challenging and strange year it has been, yet I find myself focusing on the silver linings, a term that we are all tired of hearing, yet they are present in my everyday life. This year started out with a bang for me. My businesses were flourishing and I felt content and happy with my life. Then enter COVID-19 and everything got turned upside down, fear took over, vacations got cancelled, sports, gatherings, life in general changed as we know it, and the list goes on. But somehow I was able to find beauty in the mess of things. I began to slow down a ..read more

How will you show up for yourself as we end 2020?

For me I keep coming back to self-care. Self-care is a gift to your soul. It is a privilege for all, not a luxury. It is at minimum a meeting of your basic needs; sleep, healthy food, water, breathing, movement. Needs that are required to keep our bodies healthy and alive. This is not a reward, it is caring for you. Beyond these basic human needs, self-care means different things to different people. It is not selfish, it is self-preservation. It may be taking a long, hot shower, writing in a journal, what I like to sometimes call a “brain dump,” connecting with a friend, laughing until your ..read more
