Early this year, The Portrait System launched a new accountability group that provides members with ongoing, face-to-face business support. The new group has its home in the “On the Hook with Kevin and Angie” Facebook Group. In addition to being a place where members can check in with each other virtually, the group is also a focal point for sharing information about bi-weekly Zoom meetings facilitated by Kevin Conde and Angie Whitten. Amazon to Shutter DPReview After Nearly 25 Years

The Amazon-owned online photography resource DPReview is shutting down on April 10. Amazon is terminating the website, a resource known for its camera reviews and web forums, as part of the parent company’s 18,000 layoffs announced earlier this year. In a letter to readers, Scott Everett, DPReview’s general manager, said that the staff is still working on new content through April 10. After which, the platform will be in read-only for “a limited period.” Users that have submitted content over the years may request a copy of the data until April 6. Lawsuit over Misuse of RBG Portrait Dismissed

A U.S. District judge has dismissed a copyright infringement lawsuit over an artist’s derivative use of an iconic Ruth Bader Ginsburg portrait. Last week, a judge in Georgia granted artist Julie Torres’ motion to dismiss a lawsuit brought by Creative Photographers Inc. However, the judge did not rule over whether the artwork fell under fair use. Instead, the judge said that the contract with the photographer granted the photo agency rights as an exclusive agent, but did not transfer copyright ownership.
