Spring is on the horizon and even though the weather has been dreary I’m looking forward to lighter and brighter days. Luckily it’s easier to update my manicure for spring than it is to brave the blustery winter weather outside. Today’s manicure is super simple, and as an added bonus it will last as long as you’d like!

As someone who works out every single day of the week, I am really happy with this portion of my wardrobe. It is a bit more robust than others, mostly out of necessity. My most favorite activities are running, hiking, walking, barre ballet workouts, yoga, biking, spin class, skiing, and strength training; all of which require different clothing. Today I’m going to share with you my favorite workout clothing from my minimal closet.

One month into the new year already, how time flies! I hope that your year is off to a great start. Mine has been the age-old dance of one step forward, two steps back. And yet, I’m ever grateful for the opportunity to begin again. Every morning I wake up I’m grateful for another day of breathing, of hoping, of dreaming, of loving.

If you’re a busy person like me, deciding what to clean out of your closet is the easy part of closet clean out. The hardest part is actually letting those items go in the right moment. Sometimes I feel an emotional attachment to my clothing and a sense of guilt for letting items go. They’ve served their purpose for me now and are ready to leave. In the moment I am ready and willing, but then they find their way to the donate box in the garage where I eventually find them later. Finding time to drive them to a donation center or listing them for sale isn’t always easy for me. Today I’m shari ..read more

This year I wanted to start off on the right foot, so I decided to do my closet clean out at the start. One of the biggest realizations I had was that some of my items aren’t serving me well anymore. Either the fit is off, they’re worn out, or I simply do not reach for them. My closet has been steady for a few years now, so a slight refresh is in order.
A few noticeable changes that were made to my minimal closet in 2023:
Replaced Everlane Dress with Quince Washable Silk Dress.
Swapped out my Everlane Boxy Oxford for the Sézane Max Shirt. The Boxy Oxford became smaller with wash and I didn ..read more

Colder temperatures are something that as a native Californian I both live for and loathe. I am prone to love our sunny days in the 60s, but lately it has been getting colder. There is an excitement that comes with getting to wear extra layers to stay warm and being able to actuall ..read more

While it may be tempting to update your manicure during and between winter holidays, finding extra time to do anything during the month of December always seems near impossible for me. Today I’m sharing the perfect recipe for a holiday mani that works for both Christmas and New Years, and for the rest of the year too. Lately I’ve heard a lot about magnetic manicures, so I thought I’d give one a try. I added a darker base layer to give it more dimension. I won’t go ..read more

Now that the holidays are over and done with, I’m in the mood to organize everything. In order to start off on the right foot I put away all of our holiday decor a little early, plus I’m excited to have some much needed floor space back in our house. Today I’m sharing with you my tips for staying minimal during the holidays and storing holiday decor afterward.
Use consumable or compostable items.
Not only is a real tree better for the environment, especially when sourced responsibly, it doesn’t add to the mountain of things to store for the holidays. You can use trimmings from it to create ..read more
