Wild Digital art 2021 by Justin Gedak Based on Jessica Wilde I was going for a sort of a gothic vampire warrior theme with this one, and so happy with the way it turned out. Think this is actually my new favorite out of all the portraits I've done yet.
It was created with Photoshop and Corel Painter using a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet.
Prints available at Society6, Inprnt, and ArtStation ..read more

Edge Oil on canvas 24" x 36" 2021 Model: Toniquinne
I've really been enjoying working with just raw umber, ivory black, and titanium white for my recent oil paintings. This is my third timelapse video I've made for the oil paintings. Check it out below.

I'll have the painting available for purchase in a few weeks. It looks even better in person.
Because of the way I paint in layers, much of the richer shadowed colors appear a lot deeper and three dimensional in person. This is because the colors are created through using multiple thinner glazed layer ..read more

Death's Head Hawkmoth Digital art 2021 by Justin Gedak
I've been toying around with the idea of creating some sort of gothic moth design for awhile now, and finally got around to making this surreal black and white death head moth. A couple of the sections (the skull, and surrealism themed eyes on the wings) I cut out from previous paintings of mine, and then modified them further to fit in with the painting.
Super happy with the way it turned out! I've have t-shirt designs available at Design by Humans, TeePublic, Society6, Redbubble, and Curioos.
A variety of prints, laptop skins, and other ..read more

Vampire Skull Digital art 2021 by Justin Gedak
This surreal portrait of a goth themed vampire skull is part of a new black and white series I've started working on. I'm planning on doing a bunch more goth styled artwork like this in the near future, really liking how it's been turning out.
There's some t-shirts of the gothic skull design available at Design by Humans ..read more

Goth Girl Digital art 2021 by Justin Gedak
I've been working on some straight up black and white goth related portraits lately, and have been having so much fun with them. This goth girl portrait was first created by cutting up a bunch of different photos/body parts, and piecing them together like a collage. I felt like a mad scientist doing it. From there I started painting on hundreds of digital paint layers.
I'm also working on making some more t-shirt available at Design by Humans ..read more

I did sort of an interesting experiment. I based this recent oil painting on a digital painting I had done, and then from Society6 I ordered a canvas print of the digital version that’s the exact same size as the oil painting. I wanted to physically see them side by side. When viewing online, I find that most of the time to me the digital versions will look better than the traditional oil paintings. But viewing oil paintings in person is such a different experience than seeing photos online. Seeing the two side by side, in person the oil painting looks way better. The colors are richer, the s ..read more

Dreamer Digital art 2021
This is my favorite piece of artwork I've ever done! Planning on doing a whole series in this style and theme.
With this one, I did something quite a bit different than I normally do for my digital works. Normally for the faces I'll start with a single photo of a person, and digitally paint hundreds of layers on top of the image with my Wacom Intuos Pro tablet. I do this to make it look as in proportion, and as realistic as I can. This time though, I cut pieces out of a ton of different photos, overlapped and combined the photo pieces, and then began the painting proce ..read more

I thought I'd start the year off with another free art giveaway, this one a little more cheerful/hopeful than some of the previous portraits. These giveaways are pretty fun, I might keep doing more for the digital works. Still have plans to continue with the more stranger themed oil paintings, but will most likely do more digital paintings as well in between.
I usually live mostly hermit-like, so haven't been as effected as most have with all the craziness g ..read more

It's been awhile since I've made any new digital art portraits. Most of my time on artwork has been put into pursing the surrealism themed oil painting experiments. Really happy with the way this one turned out though.
For the fun of it I decided to give the full resolution download away for free. The image is very large at 12000 x 8000 pixels, so might not open properly on a phone or tablet. This way if anyone wants a print, and has access to a good printer, they can prin ..read more
