A very simple recipe that makes a wonderfully luxurious foaming Shower Oil using a mix of natural skin-friendly oils together with the extremely simple-to-use ‘Durosoft’ emulsifier and a Water-Free surfactant.

This recipe can be scaled up in proportion very easily.

Accurate weighing scales
A suitably sized saucepan
Thermometer
A stick blender
A suitable bottle and lid

EQUIPMENT YOU’LL NEED…
A large mixing bowl
Suitable moulds to shape the bath bombs (optional)
Kitchen scales
INGREDIENTS…
300g Bicarbonate of Soda100g Citric Acid20g Polysorbate-8080g Shea Butter (or cocoa butter if you prefer)
10ml Fragrance Oil or Essential Oil of your choice
Optional… Colour Pigments ( i.e. ultramarines or oxides are ideal)
Optional… Dried flower petals or cosmetic glitter.
Step 1
Melt the shea butter gently over a low heat. Once completely liquid, remove from heat, add the polysorbate-80 to the melted shea butter, stir together and leave to cool down.
