Photo stuck to picture frame

I have a really old photo of my great grandparents that I've been wanting to transfer to a new picture frame. I realized today that the photo itself is stuck onto the glass of the old picture frame and I'm not sure how to remove it. I don't have any copies of this photo at all so I need to be super careful. Any tips are appreciated! EDIT: not sure how I forgot to mention this originally but the glass of the old picture frame is actually cracked which is why I wanted to replace it, and also why I have to be more careful about this process since I'm unable to photocopy submitted by /u/bobajamm ..read more

Determined to make it work!

Drill a hole in the lid of the new plastic cans to make it work with the paint stick. Because the provided lid only works on the metal paint cans. (We saved money not buying an empty metal can, and a trip to the hardware store, AGAIN!) submitted by /u/Evolvingartist [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

How do you get the chemical smell of dishwasher cleaner out of your dishwasher?

My wife used one of those cascade dishwasher cleaners, and since then the dishwasher reeks like chemical flowers. It makes all the dishes taste funny and smell as well. We usually do all the ‘free and clear’ stuff but she used that on accident. The smell and tastes are lingering after over a dozen washes and even trying to run some vinegar. Any ideas how to get rid of that chemical floral smell? submitted by /u/MeenMisterMustard [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Keep getting shocked!

So I work as a security guard and i’m in a guard house the whole shift. Every time I get up and touch something that is connected to the guard house let it be the window, door, metal frame, and even the control boxes for the gates I get a pretty big shock to my hand. I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to stop it because it’s driving me insane for the 8 to 12 hours I work a day. submitted by /u/Emotional_Ad4599 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

In my country, sending a large parcel of around the size of an ikea moving box costs between $3-$4. I have moved my entire kitchen and all my clothes in 20+ packages for a total of $80 across the country. Moving with a supplier would have cost me $180 or more submitted by /u/black______mamba [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have string lights connecting to each other at various locations. I need to protect the connections from water intrusion and potential damage. I have so far applied electrical tape that should result in what i need, however, i am not comfortable with the tape only. What type of plastic covers can i use to put on top of these connections? submitted by /u/ShuklaS25 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Sorting Laundry in Small Spaces?

I have a limited amount of space to stash and sort dirty laundry. Currently I’m using one tall, narrow laundry bin for all of my dirty clothes, but I end up wasting time dumping the entire thing out every time I need to do a particular load (jeans, activewear, delicates, etc.). I’m looking for a tall, narrow laundry sorting system that doesn’t look too hideous if guests see it out in the open. I’m trying to find tall, narrow stackable laundry sorters (or individual stacking crates) that fit the bill. Any suggestions? I don’t want to waste time sorting all of my clothes every time I do a load ..read more

Cheaper gym membership

Anytime Fitness (possibly other gyms too) have a different membership price depending on the area you sign up in. One membership gets you access to all of their gyms worldwide. You can sign up online at a cheaper gym, on a prepaid plan, and then access your more expensive local gym. The membership will eventually transfer to your local gym if that's the one you use most, but your fees won't be affected until you need to renew (12 months). submitted by /u/paperbeau [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
