Spring, I’m obsessed with you.Spring used to be my least favorite season since it’s usually rainy and cold here in Washington. I think shooting film is becoming a new favorite. If you didn’t read my previous blog post, feel free to read it here. Recently I came across my dads old Canon Elan II film camera from the 90s in storage, and I started shooting some photos with it. One of the reasons why I love film so much is the look it gives, but also that you don’t know exactly what the photo is going to look like until you get it developed. Shooting on film is exciting. It’s challenging, but 100% worth it because you sometimes never know what you’re going to capture. I’ve been photographing moments and documenting my life for about 12 years now. Which is crazy to think that it’s been that long. I grew up around film because my dad was a photographer as a child. A couple months ago I was going through old photo albums and home videos with my family, and was having a blast reminiscing. One of the things I love looking at of course, is the fashion. I also really love the style and the look of portraits and memories documented on film.
