Is there a way to hide a specific program from the taskbar?

I'm using AutoHotkey to bind a keyboard shortcut to show/hide a program. I'd like to free up space on my taskbar by hiding the icon of the app, since I'm never clicking on it anyway but always using the AHK keybind to maximize/minimize. Anyone know of a way to simply hide this one specific program even when it's open? submitted by /u/lefunnyusernamexd [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Found fix for disappearing Bluetooth icon.

How to fix missing Bluetooth icon in Windows. Go to device manager. Click, “view” then click, “hidden devices.” Find, “Intel Wireless Bluetooth” right click and choose, “Uninstall device.” Restart PC and your Bluetooth icon should appear again. I’ve had this problem so many times and finally found a decent and simple way to get it back. Hope this helps anyone in a similar bind. Cheers. submitted by /u/Piano_Smile [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Further customization for Lock Screen Wallpapers?

The randomized landscapes on my lock screen are very pretty, I've loved them for a while. But I'm growing tired of it. Is there any way to customize the "genre" of images that are presented to me? I still want them to be randomized, but it would be cooler if I could have images that are relevant to me without making a playlist of my own submitted by /u/Mash_Test_Dummy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi! I am using my old laptop as media player. Its connected to TV and TV is primary screen. But sometimes Windows switches back to cloning displays and same is displayed on laptop and TV. I must switch to "display only at screen 2" in settings. Is there a way to force only external display? submitted by /u/Darth_JaSk [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Question regarding reinstalling windows

I've built quite a few computers and reinstalled windows on a number of machines in order to get them in proper working order. That being said I've always opted for the failproof method of using a bootable USB to reinstall windows by completely deleting the drive's partition and installing from scratch. Recently helping some friends reinstall their OS they brought up "reset PC" in windows (they were on windows 11 but it's basically the same I'd imagine regardless). When I looked at the option myself and did some research online the conclusions seemed to contradict one another and there was no ..read more
