Can you appreciate this look? A silver skirt with a neon pink top is not something you see every day. To tell you the truth, it took me a long time before I could style it to my liking. What easy styling this was, the combination of my white wide leg trousers with a colourful shirt. A no-brainer. I might take some credit for adding apple green shoes, an orange belt and pink earrings + bracelet. Which is why I kept the bag “quiet”. It was one of those cloudy days, not too cold and not too hot. Looking through my photo album with “outfits still to put on the blog”, I found my trusted man repeller jeans with a green and cream shirt, styled by Misja (MisjaB). Perfect for that day’s weather. Remember I told you that I succumbed to buying the 3rd item of the 10 I allowed myself this year? It was when I was with my Shopping Saturday friends (see this post). In my mind combining these pink cargo trousers with a green shirt is fabulous. Not everybody will agree but in the colour wheel red and green are complementary colours. And pink is a pale red. The days I wore this Kenzo dress actually as a dress are gone. Too short, even with a pencil skirt underneath it (see this post). My knees are too old and even my shapely legs are too old now to put on display. I weep but it is time to come to terms with it. Small changes to an outfit also create a new outfit, right? You have seen these jeans with the shirt before in September last year. This time I have changed the earrings and the bag, added bracelets and put on chunky yellow shoes. When husband Ron saw the shoes, he just said “oh”.
