Today it is ten years ago since Oscar celebrated his last birthday.  I have just spent an hour looking at that sentence and crying. I needed a good cry. Life is going fast at the moment and I haven’t given myself time to sit down and just miss my boys. My body is in a constant state of tension and nothing I do makes it relax – so the last resort is crying. Maybe crying can release all this tension, so I am now torturing myself looking at old pictures and crying. Ten years after his mum died of a brain tumour, and one year after starting his role with OSCAR’s, our Charity Manager, Phil Martinez, shares why the charity is so important to him.
