Accor will be launching a series of new hotels in 2024, as it looks to expand the brands in its Premium, Midscale & Economy division. The division, established in the last year as the company was reorganised by segment, already has around 3,000 hotels across Europe in more than 40 countries. Hilton is expanding its luxury Waldorf Astoria brand from hotels into branded residences, and has signed its first standalone residence project for the brand outside the USA.
Plans are in place for Waldorf Astoria Residences Dubai Downtown to be developed for a 2028 opening, with local real estate specialist NABNI Developments in charge of construction.
