The Old Parsonage Hotel in Oxford has completed a six-week, £80,000 refurbishment of its terrace at the Parsonage Grill. The terrace now features a vibrant, Moroccan-inspired design, influenced by the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, with bright terracotta pots, lush foliage, teak furniture, and York Stone paving. The redesigned space will be open daily from 7am to 11pm, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, drinks, and dinner. Independent hotelier confidence improves, SumUp reveals

The confidence levels of independent hoteliers about their businesses has improved with three in 10 (30%) expecting their business to perform well and overcome challenges in the future, according to a new report by global financial technology firm SumUp. From the 750 small hoteliers who took part in the survey, a further 26% said that they are very confident about their future, expecting to experience significant growth over the next 12 months.
