A charity photoshoot in York organised by colleagues at Network Rail has raised £3,000 to support Yorkshire-based charity, Martin House Children’s Hospice. Held at Network Rail’s Holgate Engineering Works, the company’s largest in the country, over 70 people were at the one-off photoshoot event on Saturday evening to raise vital funds for the charity, marking the end of the season for the network’s Rail Head Treatment Trains (RHTT). easyJet has confirmed a firm order for 157 additional A320neo Family aircraft following shareholder approval. Six Million More Bus Journeys Made This Year

Over six million more journeys were made by bus passengers in the West of England in 2023 compared to last year, according to new figures from the region’s largest bus operator. First West of England, which manages services in Bristol, Bath, Weston-super-Mare, Wells and surrounding towns and villages, says almost 53 million passengers travelled this year compared to just over 46 million in 2022, as more people chose the bus as a sustainable, cost-effective way to get around. Flying Scotsman To Be Stored At Shildon Following Centenary Celebrations

The National Railway Museum has said that the future of legendary locomotive Flying Scotsman is being ‘carefully considered’. Flying Scotsman is on display at its sister museum Locomotion in Shildon until 7th January and it won’t be returning to the museum on Leeman Road in York after its centenary celebrations come to an end in three weeks’ time. Zeelo have announced the successful completion of an Electric Vehicle (EV) Demonstrator Trial, which they say "was a critical step in our Net-Zero strategy, demonstrating the practicality of integrating battery-electric vehicles to our expansive network of coach and bus operators".
