It’s undeniable that what we do everyday has an impact on the world around us and what we do matters. As we reflect personally on ways we can impact change, we want to spark a conversation on ways we can make changes in the bridal industry. “Our wedding was very intimate, about 30 people. We held both the ceremony and reception at Alo Salon in Yorkville. It’s so hard to choose my favourite part, but just being around and talking to all of our closest family and friends was so special. I felt so beautiful in my dress! We also eloped in Paris, France a week prior to the wedding and the dress held up amazing through all the travelling, elopement and wedding. It was also so special sharing this little elopement, just the two of us.” Bride is wearing Sydney by Alyssa Kristen Wedding Venue(s): Alo Salon Yorkville Photographer:&nb ..read more

“Our wedding day began at the home I grew up in, with my dad as the barista and my closest family and friends to celebrate. We had a team of makeup artists & hairstylists who pampered us and made us all feel beautiful. I dressed in my Micah by Laudae gown, just before my first look with Andrew. I had difficulty finding the perfect gown, torn between very simple and very detailed beaded gowns (and neither feeling “right”), at S+B the consultant was able to pull a few dresses that offered both, including Micah. I loved it immediately. Andrew & I did our first look just after lunch ..read more

“I had an amazing wedding day – we kept everything small and intimate. We chose our venue based on the pops of art and character sprinkled throughout. With this in mind, I knew that my dress would also be simple, clean, and easy for me to move around. The team at Sash and Bustle really nailed it. I didn’t think that I would end up with a ballgown nor low neckline, but they just asked me to try it on at the end of my appointment and that was it. S+B worked around my schedule to accommodate pick up dates and provided me with a list of seamstresses. With their help I was able to get away with onl ..read more

“Our wedding day truly was, as cheesy as it may sound, the happiest day of our live We were surrounded by so much love, laughter and joy. We had an intimate first look, made each other laugh (and cry) with our vows and winged our first dance. It was so special to have our wedding weekend in Muskoka, having grown up in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Sash & Bustle made wedding dress shopping such a special experience. I was able to have my bridesmaids, mom and aunt with me to “say yes to the dress”. My stylist, Stevie, was so kind, receptive and truly made me feel ..read more

“Our wedding day truly was the best day. We had an outdoor ceremony planned at our family’s cottage, and the three days leading up to it were torrential rain and thunderstorms. We were worried everything was going to be soaked but then the skies cleared and we had the most perfect day. I remember being so excited to get ready and to wear my bridal outfit. Once I put on my dress, headband and veil I felt so beautiful! My bridesmaids were all in different coloured floral dresses and with my floral veil, it brought everything together. Everyone was asking me about my veil and telling me how uniqu ..read more

“This was truly the best day of my life! It was so surreal to have all the people that we love in our lives come together to celebrate with us. I felt so beautiful and elegant in my dress and veil. Sash & Bustle helped me find the perfect look with the details that really made me feel like myself. The simplicity and structure of the dress, the pockets (!!), the buttons, and the fine detailing of the veil was just *chef’s kiss*!” – SashAndBustleBride Annie Bride is wearing Blanchett by Alyne Wedding Venue: Second Floor Events Photographer: Kate Watkinson Florist ..read more
