working on a flow mach200 and trying to do bevels. I want the outer edge to be at 8.625 but it’s about .25 out. My tool radius is .02925 and my mixing tube is .035 Is this the wrong tool radius or should i move something else?

A single finishing pass produced two very different results - the higher area (red) has banding whereas the lower area (blue) is much smoother. Same tool path. Any ideas?

Just wanted to share this because I think it looks meszmerzing. Saw it a few weeks ago on a new Chiron FZ16S machining center. The guys from Chiron explained that the greyish tool you see flying around in the simulation are pre-calculated positions from the CNC that are checked in a real time simulation which can stop the machine in time if it detects a collision. Works in automatic mode, MDI and jog. Must have saved a lot of underwear when running in that part...

Hi Y'all!
I was just cutting out some parts from 1.5" sign foam, and I'm getting some really strange wavy moiré like patterns on the edges. You can tell that it's happening anywhere the machine is accelerating/decelerating, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I'm running a 1.5" LOC .25D O flute cutter, at 18k rpm, and 600 ipm feedrate, on a laguna smart shop SUV. Any thoughts on how I can turn down the weirdness?

I swapped servo motor, encoder wire, and the drive to a known working one. The electrical tape is holding the soldered heatshrink connectors together for the install.

Every other drive reads normal. I did a drive, motor, wire swap. Still same issue.

I recently bought a Marc 3 set online which comes with the power supply, stepper motors, drivers and Marc 3 control board. However when looking up online, the tutorials online recommend using 3 power supply? (1 for x-axis, 1 for y and z axis while 1 for cooling fans). Can anyone recommend me where I can find a suitable beginner friendly electric wiring plan? The parts I bought are in the photos

Hello everyone, I'm a CNC programmer in my company and my boss asked me to do a test for our clamp because we have problems with it on our CNC, which is Doosan and it uses Fanuc operating system.
Basically my task is to write a G code which consists of a (I suppose a "while") infinite loop that would keep clamping and unclamping until I stop the process.
Does anyone have any ideas on how should I write this code? The command for clamping on our Doosan is M171 and command for unclamping is M172. In my company we also use Chiron and SW which use the operating system Sinumerik, and in this opera ..read more
