Do you like olives? I’m not keen on them to eat but love the colours to paint! The Tuscan Olive Branch dies make for an easy way to create a watercoloured look with lots of dimension. This blog post is part of a blog hop to celebrate the new Cheering For You release from Simon Says Stamp. You can find all the details of the blog hop by scrolling down to the bottom of this post.

Today, I have something a little different from my last two cards, which had a sharper, cleaner feel. In comparison, this card has a soft, romantic, shabby chic edge to it. Old-fashioned hazy summer days spring to mind.

OK, so bear with me; do you see an underwater terrarium, or is it just me? I guess it could be a window from a submarine, too. Hmmm, I’m not sure, but whatever it is, the die-cut framing of this wee underwater scene makes me happy. Today’s blog post is part of a hop to celebrate the Sunny Vibes release from Simon Says Stamp. Scroll down for more information on the hop and how to take part.

This is a very ‘me’ card: a bit of watercolour, a pretty flower, a subtle white-on-white textured background from embossing paste through a stencil, a simple sentiment, and, of course, lots of splatter. Despite being a familiar design, it still makes me very happy! All of the products I’ve used today have come from the new Sunny Vibes release from Simon Says Stamp.

I first started using a version of this ink combination after seeing Kristina Werner testing out options. You should check out Kristina’s series on ink combinations if you are ever stuck. I’ve turned to this favourite time and time again. Check out other projects using these colours here. Today’s blog post is part of a hop to celebrate the Splendor release from Simon Says Stamp, you can find more details of that if you scroll down.

One of my favourite ways to showcase a stunning die cut is to keep it simple, cut it from a white card, and bring in a little colour and detail with the background. This Beautiful Dove die is from the new Splendor release from Simon Says Stamp if you would like to check it out.

This card is totally out of my comfort zone! I am usually all about the layers and textures, but I fell in love with the oh-so-cute images in the European Street Add-ons set that I had to have a go at a one-layer stamped card. However, if you scroll down, I have an example of my usual style of paints and textures all collected together on a great tag set. Also, if you scroll down, you will find the details of a blog hop to celebrate the Smitten and Sweetheart releases from Simon Says Stamp.
