NEW DELHI, May 10: State-owned NHAI on Friday said it has debarred Riddhi Siddhi Associates for three months for an incident of assault and misbehavior with the national highway users at Sirmandi toll plaza on Amritsar-Jamnagar section in Rajasthan.
The state-owned agency in a statement said an incident of assault and misbehavior by the employees of toll operating agency with highway users at Sirmandi Toll Plaza on May 5, 2024 was reported.

New Delhi, May 10: The world experienced the warmest April ever and the eleventh consecutive month of record-high temperatures, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) confirmed on Friday.
Sea surface temperatures have been record high for the past 13 months, it said.
The WMO said this is happening due to naturally occurring El Niño — unusual warming of waters in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean — and the additional energy trapped in the atmosphere and ocean by greenhouse gases from human activities.

New Delhi, May 10: The Spices Board has come out with comprehensive guidelines for exporters to prevent ethylene oxide (EtO) — a carcinogenic chemical — contamination in the products shipped from India amid quality concerns being flagged by certain countries on these goods.
According to the guidelines, exporters would avoid the use of EtO in spices as a sterilising/fumigating agent or any other application; and ensure that transporters, storage/warehouses, packaging material suppliers do not use this chemical at any stage.
