The LIFE eGymer Project successfully tested different kinds of chemical-free traps to control the gypsy moth in Southern Europe forests In addition to smart traps, larval mass trapping and mating disruption techniques have been developed as eco-friendly pest control solutions. The new solutions have been tested in Spain, Slovenia, Greece, Hungary and Croatia with early control treatments to prevent further spread.
