The LIFE eGymer Project successfully tested different kinds of chemical-free traps to control the gypsy moth in Southern Europe forests
In addition to smart traps, larval mass trapping and mating disruption techniques have been developed as eco-friendly pest control solutions.
The new solutions have been tested in Spain, Slovenia, Greece, Hungary and Croatia with early control treatments to prevent further spread.

The sacks for flour, dried beans and blankets have a multilayer structure containing additives to delay sack degradation when exposed to environmental factors such as UV radiation.
