The Royal route will be a continuous one without any stops and last 5 hours Adeje council’s Department of culture have organised a special Royal Route which will see their majesties the Three Kings, drive through the borough’s towns and villages in classic cars on January 5th. The new officers were appointed on the day the local police celebrate their patron, Our Lady of Guadalupe On Friday Dec 10the in the Adeje Convento, on a day marking the commemoration of the local police patron, Our Lady of Guadalupe, 10 new members of the force were admitted, promising allegiance to the borough.  At the same event a number of police who had recently retired were also remembered and publicly thanked by the mayor, Jose Miguel Rodriguez Fraga, for their service to Adeje. The holiday islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, both popular destinations for British tourists, have had to raise their coronavirus alert level as new cases exceed the 500 mark within just 24 hours. The Canary Islands have become the latest Spanish holiday hotspot to require everyone who wants to get into big pubs, restaurants or clubs to show a Covid-free certificate. The islands, which include the British favourites of Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, have followed the example of other locations such as Valencia and the Balearics. The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands updated this Thursday the health alert levels after the epidemiological report of the General Directorate of Public Health. Fuerteventura rises to level 3 whilst Lanzarote (which includes La Graciosa) goes down to alert level 1. Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro remain at level one.
