Hello! I’m Jen Kotas from Who Stole My Glitter and I’m happy to be here today to share three cards featuring the Painter’s Garden Collection from Susan Tierney Cockburn. There are five new flower Dies in this collection along with a 3D Embossing Folder. Susan typically colors her flowers with Copic Markers and uses a special cardstock from Spellbinders. I prefer to cut my flower pieces from heavy-weight colored cardstock from Spellbinders. I added detail to the flowers with ink. It’s a time saver but I also love how the cardstock softens as I shape it but doesn’t tear. For detailed instructio ..read more

Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of Spring paper flower card ideas using the new Painter’s Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. The gorgeous floral designs in the collection reminiscent of the works of Impressionist painters inspired me to create three bright springtime cards for different occasions. Pansy Thank You Card I love the unique colorings of pansies and thought they would be a fun design to try it out first. Here I chose three different purple varieties of pansies to emulate for this pretty square thank you card ..read more

Hi, it’s Mona Toth here, in this post I have an easy-peasy CAS card inspiration for you with Flurry of Snowflakes 3D embossing folder. If you need an elegant card for an occasion, this design is a very good choice and the result will be eye-catching with a luxury touch. The heart of this technique are 3 elements: a 3D embossing folder with pretty pattern, a high-weight cardstock and a high-quality mirror cardstock. I decided to use the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder. First, I cut a piece of 5.5” by 4.25” cardstock from the Gold and Silver Mirror Cardstocks. I also cut 2 pieces of ..read more

Hi everyone! This is Jennifer Rustioni from @armieritagli! I’m very excited to be back as a guest on the Spellbinders Blog! Today I share with you the projects I created featuring the new amazing Succulents Stamp Set by Simon Hurley and Spellbinders Coordinating Dies! I must confess that I have a black thumb, and I can’t even get succulents to survive, so I definitely prefer to stamp them rather than grow them! Lol! GOOD VIBES For my first card I chose to stay in my coloring comfort zone. I stamped the succulent plant with the Archival Ink Pad Jet Black on watercolor paper. I colored it with D ..read more

Hello and welcome! I’m Joan Bardee and today I’m featuring 3 cards using the Butterfly Kisses stamp and die set designed by the amazing Simon Hurley. I’ve got something for everyone here; the first card has lots of layers and colors; the second repeats 2 images; and the third is clean and simple. Used a lot of purple on these cards, which is a color that I rarely use – but butterflies just seem to work with it! Floral Frame Card Used Yana Smakula’s “perfect cardmaking formula” to design this card. This was a stretch for me as I usually make much simpler cards. Yana’s formula is to place a die ..read more

Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am back with another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. For my projects today, I’m working with just one stamp set: the Birthday Basics stamp set from Simon Hurley, along with the coordinating dies. Birthday Cake Card For my first card, I used the birthday cake from the stamp set. I started out by stamping the image twice with black ink on white cardstock.  I colored the first image with Copic markers, then used the coordinating die to cut it out.  On the cake, I stamped the “Hope your day is as amazing as you are!” sentiment with Versa ..read more

I am delighted to share 3 ways (plus 2 bonus cards) to use the Anemone Blooms Collection, designed by the amazing Yana Smakula. Is it intimidating to use Yana’s products on a Spellbinders blog post? You bet it is, but here it goes anyway! I love big bold anything, so these flowers stole my heart. I wasn’t familiar with anemones and a quick online search revealed that they come in a huge variety of colors. So, use whatever colors you love; for me – pink is my first love. Hot Foiled Anemone Blooms If you are looking for maximum impact with minimal effort, just hot foil the Anemone Glimmer Blooms ..read more

Today I’m featuring 3 fun and colorful cards using products in the Showered with Love Collection designed by the super-talented Vicky Papaioannou. The design of each card was inspired by the sentiments in the I’ve Got You Covered Clear Stamp and Die set, which is part of this collection. The collection is full of clever open and closed umbrellas, weather symbols, flowers, a duck, etc. – all evoking spring. I took my cue from that season and used softer sherbet color ..read more
