I have decided that I will step aside as CEO of Easygenerator. Starting January 1, 2022, I will become the company’s Co-founder and Chief Learning Strategist instead. Let me explain.   This past December first marks 11 years since I became the CEO of Easygenerator. In these 11 years, I have played my role in bringing the organization to where it is today. In this period we switched the tool from an instructional design tool to a tool for employees based on our Employee-generated learning approach. We ..read more

When we started building Easygenerator back in 2013, we had a vision about our product, but we also had a clear idea about what kind of company we wanted to become. We knew that it is the people that make your company; they define the heart and soul of the company. Now, eight years later, we are the company I hoped to become. We are a group of 83 people with very different backgrounds, but all very committed to Easygenerator. We focus on bringing real value to our customers with a great product, great vision, great support, and above all, a great team.   We are highly international. Alth ..read more

Many thousands of subject matter experts (SMEs) capture and share their knowledge in the form of a course or assessment using Easygenerator. As we are working closely with our customers, we gained new insights about how to manage and improve the quality of the content in a smarter way. Being the CEO of a company that revolves around learning technology I have to watch the trends in Learning & Development. I even have to predict what will be next. I need to be ahead of the game in order to steer my company in the right direction. For this purpose, I made an analysis of the changes that I see and I wanted to share these insights. Move towards informal learning This trend started a long time ago with Jay Cross, with his “workplace learning” approach. This was followed by the “70:20:10” trend and is now further enforced with the “Five moments of learning needs”. All ..read more

The second day of Learning 2019. A full packed schedule with many sessions, keynotes, planned and unplanned meetings. Today started early at 6.45 with an extra "Dutch session" by Molly Petroff from the St Vincent Hospital. Molly is a workflow specialist already for 12 years. She showed us how they got started and what they have learned along the way. They created based on the main processes in the hospital, a performance support environment using the five moments of learning need. For me, as a "tool man" I could not help noticing how simple the tooling is they use. It is a reference guide ..read more
