Beautiful flowers make the world a better place. A gift of flowers is suitable for any occasion. Gerberas, tulips, blossom jasmine and small leaf pittosporum have been arranged in a square ceramic container. The stems have been cut to the desired length, and the foliage stripped from the bottom third of the stems. The flowers have been placed in separate groups along  the table.  The container has been filled three quarters of the way with water. A posy of flowers makes a lovely gift for any occasion. This posy features 3 large blue hydrangea, pink mini roses, cream lisianthus and larkspur. The stems have been cut to the desired length, and the foliage stripped from the bottom third of the stems. The flowers have been placed in separate groups along the table. Holding a hydrangea in one hand between the thumb and first finger position about 20cm down from the base of the flower head and using the other hand the flowers have been evenly placed around turning the posy around in a clockwise position after adding in two or three stems. Tulips are beautiful flowers with long pointed attractive leaves and look effective arranged on their own in water in a glass container. They come in different varieties and many lovely colours. When arranging tulips cut the stems to the desired length. Tulips continue growing towards the light and can sometimes extend out too far spoiling the line of the arrangement. You can help prevent this by inserting the end of a 22 gauge wire x 45cm long into the base of the flower head for about 5cm and wind the wire spirally down and around the stem 3 or 4 times.
