One person is dead and two others are injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Fort Worth on Thursday night. Dense fog is possible in parts of North Texas from Friday evening into Saturday morning. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s Saturday morning leading to the possibility of freezing fog. Freezing fog occurs when tiny fog droplets collect on surfaces. If those surfaces are below freezing, the droplets will freeze, forming a thin layer of ice that is hard to see. Four days of freezing rain in North Texas has trees coated with ice, causing limbs to break. In Arlington, there were reports of burning trees that fell on power lines. A big thaw began Thursday around Dallas’ High Five, the five-level interchange of US 75 Central Expressway and I-635 LBJ Freeway in North Dallas. Fort Worth Police say an officer was arrested Thursday after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
