We are very proud of the flowers that we send from the Great British Florist and every care is spent making sure that we send beautiful fresh flowers which will bring joy to the recipient. Most varieties are sent with a 'Freshbag' attached, (a pre-soaked bag which keeps the stems moist), to ensure the flowers have little water reserve on their journey. Here at The Great British Florist we grow many of our own flowers on site at our beautiful farm set in the Cornish countryside.   One of our biggest crops is our Scented Narcissi which is used in our mixed posies and bouquets throughout the winter months.   Once picked, the flowers are carefully checked, counted and bunched before being used in the bouquets.  (Snuggles, the farm dog, oversees this!)   As we are at the mercy of mother nature the Narcissi picking season may start slightly earlier or later each year depending on the weather.  Before our flowers ..read more

We all know that deep down flowers cheer us up. After all when someone is poorly flowers will always cheer the soul. It’s visual of course but also scent plays a powerful role. Smell is the sense that bypasses the thalamus which is a sort of brain receptionist… The scent of your flowers can enter our brain and attach to our memories without our brain having to consciously process it.
