Hi Jackie here with my final blogpost for May. I been concentrating this month on getting some of my Disney photographs documented from 2022.
For this post I’ve used Simple Stories – Say Cheese Adventure at the Park collection.
One of the areas at Animal Kingdom, was a lovely walk around the Maharajah Jungle, it was a great area to escape from the crowds for an hour and explore and find out more about the animals.
As I took loads of photographs in this one area, I decided to print them smaller and add them to a pocket page.
The lovely JD3D Print Wood are perfect for this pocket page ..read more

Hello Magpies
Welcome back. Do you enjoy playing with mixed media & making your own unique backgrounds? If you know me you’ll know I love it & this is one of my fave techniques & really easy to do, stamp ‘bleeding’
You add stamping, I choose the word yum, using some older Heidi Swapp stamps, from my stash, & stamp onto gessoed cardstock. The gesso is the key as without it the ink won’t ‘bleed’!! I did it in 3 colours of oxide inks Mustard Seed, Kitsch Flamingo & Peacock Feathers. I just did a few words at a time before using a water brush to add a small amount of water & ..read more

Hi Everyone! it’s Wendy here sharing my last layout for May using the gorgeous 49 and Market Vintage Artistry travel Collection. I have taken another different approach as I wanted to use multiple photos for this layout. I love banners and tags and pockets so decided to create mini version and make a grid layout with them. I used the 12×12 bright Pilgrimage paper as a background.
I trimmed the 12×12 patterned paper and added a white card stock border to give more dimension. I hand cut several banners and pocket shapes in different papers from the collection, I distressed all the edges and I t ..read more

Hello Magpies, Amy here again today to share my last 2 layouts using the “Set Sail” collection by Heidi Swapp.
My first layout today is a classic grid design, using the 3×4 cut apart paper. I selected 5 of the cut-aparts, and used my 3×4 photo to fill the 6th space.
I added the reverse of the cut off branding stripe to the top of the layout. To the bottom of the layout I added a fussy cut knot length from the same paper. I like to add this top and bottom border to this kind of design.
I then had fun decorating the grid design with ephemera, stickers and cutouts from the Hey Little Magp ..read more

Hi Jackie, here with a layout using Simple Stories – Say Cheese at the Park collection. Love this collection as it bright and fun just like being a Disney.
Say Cheese
For a change I decided to use Full of Wonder paper as my background.
Then using the b-side of 4×6 elements which measured 7×5 I cut it into a pennant and distressed the edges. Using a 3×8 piece of 3×4 element paper – using the b-side.
My photograph is backed with Meet me on Main Street, adding 3D foam behind to give it added dimension.
For my journaling spot, I used the cut-apart journaling elements sheet, and ..read more

Hi Magpies,
Today I’m sharing my second layout using 49 & Market’s Vintage Artistry Everywhere collection. And what a collection it is – so many elements, variety & the colour combination is really unusual, I had to try it!.
LOVE THIS PLACE
I began my layout by cutting some wonky circles in white which I glued to the centre of the Wonder paper. Although, this design could easily be created without the circles if preferred. I added a few embellishments to the top right, who could resist that cute aeroplane?!
Next, I backed my photo with a few pieces of epheme ..read more

Hello Magpies, Amy here with a second layout using the “Set Sail” collection by Heidi Swapp.
Instead of using white cardstock for my background I decided to switch it up and used the B side pf the patterned paper called “Sailboats Black“.
I cut a 9″ circle from the B side of paper called “Dark Shells“. I distressed the edges to hide my inaccurate hand cutting! I then stitched it to the centre of my background paper using my machine. Again to hide the fact my stitched circles were wobbly, I went around the circle about 4 times!
I layered some of the larger tags from the “Tags” paper behind my ..read more
