A woman who was allegedly stabbed outside of a Sydney gym by her ex-partner has been released from hospital. The woman, who wishes to stay anonymous, was allegedly stabbed in the neck, back and ear by her former partner Anthony Monteleone, outside of a Crunch Fitness in Alexandria on Wednesday. Long-time Today entertainment correspondent Sam Rubin has died at 64 years old. Rubin died at his home in Los Angeles on Friday (local time) from a heart attack. He had hosted his regular KTLA Hollywood news segment from 7am to 9am that morning. A driver has made a soggy escape after driving his car into a pool in a south-western Sydney backyard. The 19-year-old driver told police that he was travelling along Huskisson Street at Prestons, when his Toyota hatchback mounted the gutter. A woman has been seriously injured in Melbourne after being allegedly struck by a car. Police allege the pedestrian was walking across Johnstone Street in Jacana when she was struck by a Toyota hatchback at 9.45pm yesterday. Australia has voted with the vast majority of the United Nations General Assembly on a resolution to grant "rights and privileges" to Palestine.
