It’s 10 years a handful of months since we started FOEX with the idea of extending APEX with additional features and capabilities. We’ve learnt a lot along the way through both our successes and failures and can’t wait to contribute our efforts to make APEX even better. It’s been a dream for us to be in this position and now that it’s reality, well it’s taking time for it to sink in. We’re starting a new phase of our journey and one where we can make a much bigger impact and help ma ..read more

FOEX Blog
by Matt Nolan
2y ago
The 5th FOS Release 21.2 has finally arrived with official APEX 21.2 support, 4 new plug-ins, and several enhancements. For transparency purposes we acknowledge the fact that this release is quite late after the official release of APEX 21.2. One of the main reasons behind the delay was our involvement in building the community project apexd2d, which was a great initiative to be a part of. The other being that we didn’t find any compatibility issues with using the 21.1 plug-ins in 21.2. With this latest release, there’s now 25 FREE plug-ins in our open source suite. Now if you’re too ..read more

Change, it’s something that all of us developers using APEX are constantly faced with, well twice a year to be more precise. It’s what can be responsible for of the majority of bugs we investigate. It can also mean that we need to change code because something is no longer available. On the positive side, it also can reduce the amount of code we have to write and maintain thanks to new features and improvements. Planning/performing upgrades to new versions of APEX can result in a significant amount of reading and scrolling of Release Notes for every new feature (oh the joy that brings). Meanin ..read more
