Why omit key facts from the listing remarks? Why??

Land listings in particular...just reached out about a riverfront lot and was informed it's only accessible by boat. Another recently is completely land-locked with no deeded access available, which wasn't in the remarks when I first inquired. What is the point? Do you really want to be answering tons of extra inquiries by people who are 100% uninterested cause they've failed to describe the property sufficiently? Isn't it just as much a waste of your time as it is mine? submitted by /u/pbconspiracy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi! New agent here. I just have a question pertaining to open houses. I work for a woman who I have been doing open houses for…. She wants me to bring elaborate spreads to open houses but I’m not reimbursed for any of that. Is this the standard? Thanks! submitted by /u/Restingwitchface222 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Outdoor commode

Does anyone actually believe a toilet in the backyard will become a value add to a property? I have clients with a beautiful yard with a pool, a covered patio space, and an outdoor kitchen. I almost bought the joint. But then you turn the corner and between the outdoor A/C units and the pool pump, there is roofless one man shed housing a plumbed in toilet. I was horrified until I came back on a sunny day last week to stage the house and tried it. I must say doing that most private of activities while listening to the birds and feeling the gentle caress of the sun really had me doing a 180 on ..read more

Reaching out to agents about working at their brokerage

I’m thinking about changing brokers and came across one I’m interested in but some Indeed reviews suggest they have poor/arrogant management and employees constantly feel replaceable. I take reviews with a grain of salt, but a couple of them said the same thing. Would it be in bad taste to contact an agent on LinkedIn about what the office is actually like and their experience there? submitted by /u/Matt_nelsn [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’m looking to lean into Tik tok for lead generation. I’ve had some success with getting 50k+ views on some apartments. However editing takes a while. Anyone have a recommendation for a platform to use? submitted by /u/Capital_Sample1367 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have no idea what to do anymore, they still want me to hold OH’s every weekend and it feels like such a waste of time. The home is a beautiful 4,000 sq/ft ranch with great curb appeal, in a extremely sought after family neighborhood. It took them 8 months to get the house in the condition it should’ve been to start with. I’ve had to re-do photography THREE times now. Feedback has been positive since the last changes they made just a few weeks ago, but we haven’t had a single offer since we listed last July. Not even sure what I’m asking for, just wanted to vent. submitted by /u/warminthesn ..read more

I don't want to bash I am just looking for some advice. Recently I have been helping my mom with a boundary situation and as a result I have learned a lot about what happended when she purchased her house in 2017. At the time she wanted to move to California and contacted a realtor friend Amy to let her know and asked for help looking for places. Another mutual friend Bob heard and reached out to my mom and told her he was looking to rent out his place and it was decided my mom would lease Bob's place for 6 months while looking for a place to buy. To be clear Bob was only planning to rent so ..read more

Considering brokerages

I’m considering a few different brokerages and there are many differences between them all. But one thing that I am wondering is where realtors meet their potential clients when they don’t have a set office or conference room. I ask this because one brokerage I’m considering doesn’t have a convenient location to take clients into. Does this matter much? It seems like most brokerages share one or two conference room for so many agents so this must be a common issue. Are clients happy to meet over coffee or lunch? submitted by /u/Willing_Inside7230 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
