PLEASE HELP NO HATE?? Hi everyone I need help I recently found 5 kittens in a box w a blanket in the az. As you probably know Arizona gets ridiculously hot in the summertime so of course I took them in. However I was turned away by 5 shelters due to overcrowding. They were in pretty rough condition so I took them to the vet. Well my friends $3200 later they have all there meds ?‍♀️?‍♀️? keep in mind I found these kittens on my dad‘s death anniversary and of course I took it as a sign haha. Anyways the didn’t want to vaccinate them until the medication is done which is in about two weeks. Can ..read more

Cat Keeps Taking Cone Off After Foot Surgery

My small cat just had a growth removed from one of her back toes, which has gained her four stitches. She easily takes her cone off and has even managed to take it off when I attached it to her harness, I'm not sure I can make it any tighter. Since a shirt is out of the question, anyone have ideas for protecting her foot? submitted by /u/xSweetSlayerx [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have a dog. Want to possibly adopt a cat

I have a 1 1/2 year old female small mini aussie. I would love to adopt a cat, and not necessarily a kitten. I have been around either cats or dogs my whole life, but never together. My dog is very nice. Not used to cats, but met a few. She is very curious, but have a lot of respect. I don't think she would have any issues with a cat around. In fact, I think she would love it. However. What are the odds that a young/adult cat will accept being with a dog if they didn't grew up with dogs? If I go to a rescue they might not know previous history. Also if you think this is possible, what's the b ..read more

Hey all, i really need some advice. I just adopted 3 month old kittens. I seriously adore them, but im having some issues with them climbing up my leg. Any time i am remotely near a counter, they will start meowing at me and will literally claw my leg to climb up. They have everything they need and are well loved, i just dont understand why this is happening. I have had kittens all my life and have never had this happen. All the advice ive found so far is about trimming nails and making sure you have a cat tree but i already do those things and it hasn’t helped.. I know theyre just babies but ..read more

So my fiancé knows a guy who owns an auto body tint shop by us and the guy lives at the shop. It’s a typical garage except he doesn’t have tools everywhere. He also has 4 dogs and the entire thing is actually really sad. There’s no AC and he keeps 2 of the dogs in kennels outside with no fan or anything on them during the day and most of the time no water. All 4 dogs are INFESTED with fleas. I mean when I flea combed one the entire comb was covered in fleas. When I saw the dogs condition, the first thing I did was call animal control (I’m still disappointed in how poorly they handled the enti ..read more

Fleas + Mopping Hard Wood Flooring: Disinfectant?

Hey all, I hope this is a suitable sub to post this query! Currently dealing with a battle against fleas (literally the most pointless, vile, spiteful creatures known to existence, I never knew I had so much vitriolic hate in my soul ?) In terms of prep, our upstairs is carpeted and will have a thorough vaccuming before I enact a vengful, chemical warfare-themed genocide on them, and whilst I'll also vaccum all of downstairs in the living room and kitchen, it's all tiled/wooden flooring. So in which case I want to mop the flooring and the corners etc...would pure disinfectant be of any use as ..read more

Exercise for puppy

I have a 6-month-old puppy. She receives 1.5 to 2 hours of enrichment daily. In the mornings, before it reaches 100+ degrees, we play fetch for 5 minutes, use the flirt pole for 10 minutes, do 2 rounds of sniff and hunt, and take a 30-minute walk. In the evenings, after it cools, she gets 10 minutes of fetch, 8 minutes of flirt pole, and a 45-minute walk. Even after each session, she still wants to go outside and digs holes in the grass. I have to watch her from a distance, or she’ll shred the grass. She also eats her food from two enrichment feeders. She wants to go outside at least every ho ..read more
