Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and yet for many communities like the ones in Marsabit County, Kenya, it was a daily struggle. The rural community of Cyagaju, Rwanda, lacked educational support for young children. Classrooms didn’t have basic amenities and were located far away from families. Young children could not easily attend school. Thanks to Child Sponsors and partnerships between local volunteers and FH Rwanda, 235 children’s lives were changed and their families’ hope was restored through the support of childhood education.

Food for the Hungry (FH) continues to provide emergency aid in Haiti in response to gang violence displacing communities.
In December 2022, Belleview La Montagne (BLM) communities, an area outside of Haiti’s capital city, Port-au-Prince, experienced devastating conflict and gang violence, including kidnapping, assassination, and social disturbance, causing highly stressful living situations. Young people were especially at risk. The turmoil forced families to flee from their homes and communities. Many families remain displaced.
