We took our ‘Goats to Oats’ outreach event to Leeds and what a fantastic day it was! We were joined by a dozen activists who helped us give out hundreds of dairy-free cheeses and plant-based milk samples. They went down a treat and we had such positive feedback from the public about buying plant-based foods moving forwards. It is always a wonderful day when we can get out onto the high street and speak directly to consumers about making more compassionate, sustainable choices when it comes to buying foods. A special thank you to Violife and Sheese for providing us with such delicious vegan che ..read more

This July, the UK government released the latest ‘Agriculture in the United Kingdom’ report for 2021, so let’s take a look…
This annual report outlines agricultural, both plant-based and animal, production, costs, trade, and more. For animal farming, this includes the number of animals kept on farms, animal product production such as milk and eggs, and the number of animals slaughtered.
The volume of cow’s milk produced in 2021 decreased by just 0.05% and the dairy herd population – the number of dairy cows in the UK – remained stable at 1,850,000.

Major goat dairy brand exposed by Animal Justice Project! Shocking scenes featured in the Independent.
As consumers become more aware of the horrors facing cows and calves on dairy farms, a smaller, and lesser-known industry is marketing to those wanting to make kinder, more sustainable choices. Goat’s milk is increasingly promoted as a healthier, more ‘ethical’ option, but very few consumers are aware of what happens on goat farms.
Over a two-month period, we filmed inside Pasture House Farm, a 2,000 goat dairy, supplying milk to Delamere Dairy. This giant company produces over 40 million ‘aw ..read more

Over recent months, you’ve probably read dozens of headlines warning about the spread of Monkeypox. A contagious viral infection characterised by rashes, fevers, muscle aches, headaches and exhaustion… it’s not particularly pleasant to think about.
Before recently, you might have heard of the disease, but not really been concerned. Originating in West and Central Africa, it has felt pretty far away until now. It won’t affect us, right?
With 98% of cases reported since May coming from Europe, Monkeypox is now on our doorstep. According to government data, there are now 1,076 cases in the UK. Ex ..read more

The soaring costs of feed, fuel, energy and fertilisers are causing farmers to quit dairy farming. A recent survey by the National Farmers’ Union has highlighted the mounting pressures that farmers are facing. In recent years, the combination of Brexit, the Covid-19 pandemic, loss of labour and rising import costs, and now the Russian-Ukraine war, have resulted in an unfavourable environment for those who exploit animals for profits. Alongside increased public awareness of the commodification, abuse and cruelty inherent within dairy farming, and the unsustainability of the industry, could we b ..read more

On Saturday 28 May, dozens of brave activists fled to Darlington and carried out the biggest action of its kind against an agricultural event in years! The National Beef Association’s ‘Beef Expo’ was supposed to be a celebration of the ‘Best of British’, but Animal Justice Project made national news by gate-crashing the event to show farmers that there is no future in ‘beef’ and more importantly, no future in animal agriculture.
With a clear message, activists demanded an end to animal farming by scaling the roof of Darlington Farmers Auction Mart, a brand-new state-of-the-art buildi ..read more
