I’ve had acne for over 2 years and it starting to loose hope. I’ve tried having no skincare at all, benzoyl peroxide, medicated acne treatments, glycolic acid, proactiv, no makeup, oil cleansers, and anything else you can think of. I also had acne while drinking plenty of water and having a pretty good diet. I have it on my chin and forehead mostly. Please help!! Im also very new to Reddit so idk what I’m doing ?? submitted by /u/annawhit358 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

This is my 2nd post in this community and i really hope this does better than my last, these pimples are red, dry, and painful to the touch, i have been using panoxyl 4% and washing everyday and making sure to moisturize but nothing is working. It is making me not confident in myself and i feel bad just going outside of my house. I cannot afford the dermatologist right now and i have a few upcoming social events and i dont even want to attend if i can even reduce my acne :( please help submitted by /u/angelluvvssscats [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Are there any upcoming/in research oral drug for acne?

Isotretinion is 55 years old, but it remains the only effective treatment and long-term solution for many forms of acne. On the other hand, the drug has many side-effects and is highly regulated in many countries. Are there any other, more selective, drug in development? Like the topical retinoids that were developed in the last few years, that are more selective and with less side-effects. submitted by /u/Lokipath [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have dealt with acne for years now. Im currently 16 and i have had acne since i was 14. Its like a rollercoaster, sometimes it has been better but then it has come back again and again. I have used Benzol peroxide face wash, niacinimide, BHA, Spot treatment, pills and many other things, but none of Them has given me good resoults. After a lot of reasearch i Think i have came to the conclusion that i have hormonal inballance and excess testoltorone. Is annyone experiencing the same, or has annyone defeated the same problem as i have. I would really like some help. submitted by /u/Belug ..read more

this is my brother, he is 16 so i understand that acne is normal, but is there anything he can do to help it? he plays basketball a lot which means he sweats a lot, i therefore told him to wash his face after every workout and to try to keep the hair out of his face in case it was the oil from that. However his hair falls on the sides of his forehead which have no acne so i dont think thats the issue. He is insecure of this and is clearly doing anything he can, he washes his face at least 2x a day and double cleanses. Ive told him to try to limit his diet to see if it might be partly all ..read more
