Howdy everyone, as the title suggests I'm looking for suggestions on what types of roles I should be looking for/applying to with my skillset.
Background: About 3 years ago I left my job in warehousing and managed to join a videogame publisher as a Jr Community Manager role. Now three years later, our parent company has chosen to shut our studio down. In that time, I've transitioned from a jr to a full time role. I worked closely with our marketing manager/team, and I realized I really enjoy learning about marketing so I'd like to focus my career path on that direction.
A lot of my role was s ..read more

Hi everyone, I just released a website and a desktop app. I did a bit of marketing and about 200 people came over to my website. However, not even one of those people clicked on the download button. I made it very clear in all my marketing messages that the app is a desktop app so they’d have to download the app to use it. But absolutely no one clicked on the download button. What am I doing wrong?
NB: I have written a lot of apps. This is the first time this is happening. The only difference here is that the app is for desktops and not for phones.

Hi everyone, I am half way done with completing my degree in Social Work, however I have recently decided I am much more interested in pursuing a career in marketing. Since I am pretty far into my social work bachelors degree, if I were to change my major now to marketing I would be in school for up to another 3 and a half to 4 years rather than 2 years left to finish my social work bachelors. However, if I change my major to Human Communications I wouldn’t have to be in school any longer and could graduate on time and add a marketing minor? Would my job prospects be better if I got a bachelo ..read more

I'm looking into going back to school and I'm debating if I should go for Communications or Digital Marketing, or if there's a program that combines them.
Do you have any suggestions or experience that could help guide me?
Thank you

I currently lead affiliate marketing efforts for a consumer brand but my background is in traditional PR so it’s still all very new for me.
I’ve been trying to find some sort of course for marketers and brands looking to improve their affiliate programs but it seems that the majority of courses I’ve looked at are for creators looking to make money through affiliate rather than brands trying to expand their programs.
Any tips where I can find a course like this?

I haven't seen a specific answer for this, and I'm basically at my wits' end. I just started freelance marketing, and I'm working with my first client to create regular Instagram content. He wanted to use Meta Business Suite/Manager to be able to view content prior to it being posted, but we are both having SUCH a problem trying to get it to where I can actually post to his page. There is a button that is asking me to confirm access because he has sent the request over to me, but every time I click the button, nothing happens.
I have no idea if I'm missing something simple or if something is ..read more

Im hosting an online course on Payhip which has limited features regarding collecting leads via an opt in form. To be specific, redirecting to another page after an email address has been obtained is not something they offer at this time.
Requirements -Collect email address, then redirect to sales page. -Use one domain (sub domains ok)
Should I use something like Leadpages or Clickfunnels to collect the email addresses then direct to the sales page?

I’m graduating from my masters in digital marketing this June and I look forward to working in the field. This January I ended up landing an IT job. My responsibilities vary a lot, they can range from offering technical support and troubleshooting to making useful reports and handling data to coordinating development projects . When I accepted this job I knew this was just going to be a stepping stone to my ideal job; Never saw myself lasting more than a year. Just a learning experience. While I’m still here, I wanna make sure I’m focusing on developing skills related to marketing or that can ..read more
