My sister and her husband live in Turkey and would like to come visit me and my family here in the US. The earliest appointment that we have managed to book is September 2025. I really hope they can come much earlier than that and meet my one year old daughter.
I have suggested submitting a letter and requesting an emergency appointment. Has anyone done this? Do you think a letter expressing that will be enough? Do we need supporting documents? What kinds? Any guidance with that or other alternatives for a quicker visa appointment is appreciated. I suspect they open new appointments every onc ..read more

Hello Everyone!
I'm an Indian national, and I want to visit Japan around the start of July for one or two weeks to visit my girlfriend(Indian) there. She is an employee there. I wanted to know does anybody have any positive(/negative) experiences around this category of visa? I know visit visa is a solid category when inviting parents/blood-relatives but, is it considered a good(acceptance rate) category for friends/non-married couples too?
I am a little new to visas, but still, so far I haven't heard any acceptance or rejection case story around visitor visa type. Please, enlighten me.

Hi everyone,
2 years ago I applied for a UK visa from France and submitted my application to the TLSContact center in Paris. I just made another application this year but I am surprised to see that the appointment costs 125€ whereas 2 years ago it was free. When did the price skyrocket that much? Has anyone submitted their application in this center and could tell me if this price is normal or am I doing something wrong please?

Hi everyone,
I hope you can provide some insights regarding my current situation. My spouse and I are Canadian Permanent Residents (PRs). After meeting all the necessary requirements, I applied for Canadian citizenship and moved to the US, where my spouse is on a J1 Visa, and I am on a J2 Visa.
I recently received an email from Canadian Immigration requesting my fingerprints again to process my citizenship application. The catch is that this process can only be done in Canada. My concern is about the re-entry process to the US after my fingerprinting trip.
My J2 Visa has expired, but I have a ..read more

Hi All - I am planning a trip to Spain in June and struggling to get an appointment for visa. I tried all of the Schengen countries but no luck. Came across their Doorstep Visa Service from UK and thought if trying that option. If I happen to get that visa, is it ok if I attend a meeting in Switzerland in the month of July? I think its the Type C Visa that is valid for tourism and attending conferences. Any pointers are appreciated. Thank you.

Hey everyone!!
So the thing is that I(an Indian national) want to visit Japan around the start of July for 1/2 week(s), but I am confused which type of visa would be best for me(best acceptance).
My scenario is that- - I am a recent graduate from one of the premier Institutes of India.
I earn more and than 1.5 Lakhs a month, but I am a new earner so I don't have the latest ITR with me, won't be able to get the form 16 from the company by then. I do have other documents though(salary slip, bank statement, etc.)
My girlfriend stays there, and I just want to visit her actually.
I will be a ..read more
