Change of appearance form (Indian passport renewal in US) doesn’t require notarization?

I am sure the change of appearance and signature form required notarization till a while ago; however, I went through the checklist today and it doesn’t mention it anymore (except under special case). The current checklist is here: Checklist Can someone confirm that this is indeed the case? It is likely a very recent change. The second question I had was regarding the submission of digital photographs through VFS (instead of submitting the physical ones). If I still need to get the change of appearance form notarized, can it be notarized without pasting the photo? Also, I was 20 when I got my ..read more

Me and my girlfriend are looking into getting married in May and applying for marriage based green card so we can start building our financials to move to Florida after college. I am currently an undocumented student who overstayed b2 visa as a minor in 2018. She is a U.S. Citizen. No criminal history both of us. We are thinking about applying through Boundless once we get married, but we have questions on how to prove bona fide marriage since we live right next to each other but in different locations, as I live on-campus due to housing scholarship that requires me to live on-campus and she ..read more

Is there any hope for “documented dreamers”

I grew up in America. I’ve spent pretty much my whole life here and I don’t know what to do. I was born in India and left when I was a few months old. My parents never taught me the language. I was looking at going to Canada but it seems like its collapsing and they really seem to hate Indians, even someone like me who grew up in America, coming there. But there’s no path for me to ever live in America! Why can’t there be a scheme that if a documented dreamer obtains a PHD or Master’s in a STEM field from a good university, they get permanent residency? I mean ffs even the Eb1 option is being ..read more

Boyfriend (Canadian) and I (American) had a disaster at the US/CAN land border the other day. Our intentions were innocent, I just wanted him to visit me but we made ourselves look suspicious due to being young and ignorant. He is now required to show proof of ties as well as apply for a visitor visa to enter the United States. Now I'm concerned about our future and him crossing over into the US forever. I have read online being denied entry will never go away and patrol takes it very seriously. We never wanted trouble and I want things to go smoothly from here on out. I just want him to be ..read more

Guess I’ll start from the beginning, I (27m) have currently been living in the US for all of my life basically. Brought here from Mexico at the age of about 3 months or so. From what I can gather it was not through legal means. I have built credit (770) using my itin , had jobs using a fake SSN, bought numerous vehicles, but have always used my name on any/every documents. I’ve never used anyone’s name for my own gain. Applied for Daca when I was 18, through a none profit ;however , they decided not continue with my case after they found out I had an arrest from when I was 11. No other crimin ..read more
