These figures premiered (and quickly sold out) at Disney’s D23 Expo this September and will be available to the public this fall. This is not a Toy. A sculpture, an art object, a statue; that’s more like it. This figure has presence – it’s large, heavy and solid resin. It contains magnets, steel rods and felt pads. How nice it is to switch things up and work in different materials from time to time. Resin offers many different possibilities without too many compromises. In this case, it allowed me to go tall (over 16”). Wolfgang – Lava Edition is here and buggin’ out in “Rat Fink Green.” While designing this figure I obviously studied Tex Avery’s wolf character, but also found a lot of inspiration (and many design solutions) ogling over the likes of The Garbage Pail Kids, Goofy, Jim Phillips, Bill Campbell and of course, Ed “Big Daddy” Roth.
